Physiotherapy assessment will often help you figure out the cause of physical pain or discomfort. Methods used include manual therapy to loosen soft tissue and mobilize the joints. We work with sport injuries and post-surgical rehab.
Acupuncture treatment involves the use of needles to cause changes in the neuroendocrine system. Our practitioners practice both classical as well as modern styles of acupuncture, which will be offered depending on what you are coming to treat.
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a light hands-on treatment that enhances the body’s natural capacity for healing. It has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of physiological issues associated with loss of bio-mechanical and systemic functionality.
CST is useful both as a primary treatment method or in combination with other therapies like acupuncture or massage. With this form of gentle, non-invasive bodywork, the body is often able to release deeper restrictions otherwise less responsive to heavier touch.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is an advanced therapeutic method that has been proven to stimulate the lymphatic system since the early 1930s.
It is a light rhythmic massage in which the practitioner uses a range of specialized massage movements and gentle pumping techniques.
As a preventative and remedial treatment, MLD can help with post operation healing, reduce pain, clear congestions, soften the skin and reduce the appearance of scar tissue.
Flex & Stretch Bodywork
Flex & Stretch Bodywork is a form of release bodywork that can be helpful in helping release soft tissue and articular restrictions, especially in the bigger joints. The practitioner will be working around the treatment table which the client is lying on. While Flex & Stretch is a treatment on its own, there is an assessment and corrective component to the session too.
Neuro Kinesiology is about using muscle testing to assess the relationships between muscles in the body. During these sessions, our practitioner will be mapping the dysfunctional relationships in the body, subsequently finding the high-priority areas to strengthen or release, with the aim to help the client repattern any musculoskeletal imbalances in the body..
Hypnotherapy accesses the subconscious mind to affect positive change. 90-95% of our experience derives from the subconscious mind, while only 5-10% of our experience derives from the conscious mind. As such, the subconscious mind can be a powerful access point for change. When working with hypnotherapy, clients are asked to define a specific purpose for therapy: e.g. confidence, fears, anxiety, sleep, stop smoking.
Tension Release Exercise (TRE) Facilitation
TRE provides a safe and grounded way to discharge stress that has built up in the body, whether as a result of emotional tension, over-exertion or a compromised physical posture. Through harnessing the body’s natural shaking mechanism, TRE can bring a sense of release, relaxation and restoration to the body and mind, and is supportive of deep sleep. TRE is a safe place to express through the body and take place on a mat on the floor.
